Continuing the Chinese theme with something that many of us need in these hard times – a charm or amulet to protect each of us against a hundred calamities
I thought I’d try a peaceful Lotus, for a change of pace – less busy than some of my mandala images – with scope to add background colour
Thank you Sheila Knight for another contribution to the colouring pages – great fun to see what you have done with the snail on the leaf π – I think your decision to place the leaf on the ground is probably far more sensible than the water in mine – love the softer colours.
I have just been sent a coloured version of one of the sketches from the site – and I love it – so I have asked and been given the permission of the colourist, Sheila Knight, to include it on the website. I am particularly taken with the clever use of the soft colours – Thank you Sheila for letting me post it.
If you have finished one of my sketches, I would love to see it. Gaile
Zig Finds a Home starts a new series of illustrated Children’s books, shortly to be released on Amazon. Tommy finds a strange pebble which, after he takes it home, turns out to be an ancient egg… a dragon’s egg. This first book introduces the two main characters and how they meet and make friends. Written and illustrated by Gaile Griffin Peers (contains thirty full colour images)
Here are a few illustrations from the book:

Been having fun with odd doodles – some of which may make it into books and some may not – not sure, yet – but will put some here for you to play with as well as showing some I have done π – To access an image RIGHT click on it with your mouse (or hold down with your finger) and a list of options will pop up, choose open in a new tab (so you get the largest version). On the new tab β right click and save image β Have fun and donβt forget you can add the finished pictures to any Amazon reviews of the books β just saying π π π – but if you use it anywhere, please don’t forget to mention that I drew it xxx
Here are what I think they might look like finished – but you might do them very differently π
I would love to see any of my sketches that you have coloured and finished – you can send them to me here (but they need to be under 2Mb)
